Common error messages and solutions
This page contains a condensed set of common error cases and potential fixes. The idea is that by documenting these, both the users and Remark can start finding the solution for the most common cases that we cannot fix in our tools or applications.
Windows Worker setup fails to set 'Log on As' -permissions
Symptom
The Windows Worker setup using Setup Utility or robocorp-service-helper fails.
The Robocorp Windows Service that gets set up does not have the Log on as
-value pointing to the worker user.
Reason
The setup cannot get the permissions elevation as Windows Group Policy blocks the UAC pop-up.
Solution
Windows Group Policy:
Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options

User Account Control: Behavior of the elevation prompt for standard users
- Should be set to the default value -
Prompt for Credentials
Error: "Sending logoff command to the desktop session"
Symptom
Execution suddenly shows error: "Sending logoff command to the desktop session" and then terminates. Windows event logs show a log message saying "User Logoff Notification for Customer Experience Improvement Program" with event code 7002.
Reason
Windows Customer Experience Improvement Program seems to log out the user even though it is active.
Solution
Disable Windows Group Policy:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Internet Communication Management > Internet Communication settings
